The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) is delighted to unveil the esteemed contract personnel who will take center stage at the Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping, set to unfold at the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center in Las Vegas on December 5-6.

The carefully chosen contract personnel for this prestigious event are as follows:

  • Usher: Corey Kidd

This marks John Gwatney’s fourth tenure as the esteemed chute boss, a role of significant responsibility in rodeo events. Anthony Lucia returns to the announcer’s booth for the second time, having previously lent his voice to this event in 2021. Will Rasmussen makes his debut as an announcer at the Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping, bringing his unique style to the arena.

Amanda Corley Sanders and the timers, Amy Mueller and Vicki Pack, will be making their inaugural appearances at the NFBR, contributing their expertise to the event. Corey Kidd, entrusted with the role of usher, joins the team, along with photographer James Phifer, who will capture the thrilling moments in still frames. Jill Franzen Loden returns for her second stint as the music director, having previously held this role in 2021.

This year marks the second consecutive year that the Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping will be hosted at the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center, solidifying its status as a premier venue for rodeo events.

In 2020, the National Finals Breakaway Roping made its debut at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, alongside the National Finals Rodeo (NFR), with Jackie Crawford clinching the coveted world championship. In 2021, Sawyer Gilbert emerged victorious at the NFBR held at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Last year, Martha Angelone secured the world title at the South Point, continuing the tradition of excellence in breakaway roping.
